Soft Skills
Because it’s as much important as technical skills…
- Conflict Resolution: Maintaining peace and resolving conflicts in diverse team settings. I’m very sensible about that. Successful projects are done in safe environments 🙂
- Cultural Awareness: I had the change to work with individuals from various cultural backgrounds, fostering inclusivity and collaboration.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work harmoniously with all kinds of people, contributing to a positive team environment.
- Sense of humor: I think i have some sort of sense of humor, sometimes. But hey, ask people who know me what they think of my various video/photo montage. By the way, it’s often a good way to resolve conflicts and lower down pressure of daily work.
Technical Skills
I pretty much hate the long list of technologies, but here are some keywords.
I strongly believe that beyond the technologies, the ability to adapt and learn quickly by having strong basis in development, infrastructure and devops world in general is Key. Here’s an overview :
Infrastructure as Code
Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Molecule, CI/CD systems from Gitlab, Github… , Helm, CDK8S, ArgoCD… ( Pulumi coming soon 🙂 )
VCS
Git, Gitlab/Github (for merge requests, code reviews…), Github (Open source contributions following project guidelines)
Development
Golang, Python, Javascript, Typescript, shell, and (some) Scala… ( one day, i’ll learn Rust. For sure. )
Orchestration and Infrastructure
Kubernetes, Docker, AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC…), Azure, Rancher ( RKE ), LXC, Proxmox…
Databases/Message Broker
MariaDB, ElasticSearch (and OpenSearch), MongoDB, Redis, Vault, RabbitMQ, Apache Druid, NATS, Milvus ( Vector data store )…
Monitoring and Testing
Prometheus, ELK, Graylog, Grafana, Zabbix, Cypress, Cloudwatch… And the tools to fetch and transform ( fluentd or - my prefered choice - vector )…
Operating Systems
Linux (from Debian/Ubuntu to Archlinux), Windows Server…
